Who is this Apprenticeship for?
This apprenticeship is for new apprentices to the workplace, existing employees new to the role, or existing employees who have no formal qualifications related to the role.

Typical Job Roles
Office Administrator, Front Office sta”, receptionist , Website Technician, Data Administrator, Digital Assistant, IT Application Officer.

Entry Requirements
Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this might include GCSEs, A levels, a level 2 apprenticeship or other relevant qualifications, relevant experience and/or an aptitude test with a focus on functional maths. Employers are likely to be looking for a proven passion for digital and social media.

Duration
Typically 12-15 Months

• Level 3 Diploma for IT Users (ITQ)
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Mathematics, & ICT
• Personal Learning & Thinking Skills AND
• Employee Rights & Responsibilities

Course content
This Apprenticeship covers a wide range of general computing and IT skills that can be applied in many job roles and industries.

Apprentices will learn how to operate computers and databases, as well as how to use and maintain IT systems and networks.

IT is an increasingly important area, and whatever role learners take they will be part of a fast-moving, ever-changing sector.

Level 3 Diploma for IT Users
Awarded by Pearson Edexcel, this qualification covers an apprentice’s ability to carry out tasks related to the job role, and have the knowledge to apply it correctly. This will be judged by a Vocational Tutor who will visit an apprentice regularly in order to support him/her on the course.

Once awarded this qualification an apprentice will have shown that he/she is competent and has knowledge in:

•Improving productivity using IT IT fundamentals
• Setting up an IT system Using email and the internet Using
• bespoke software
• Using video and audio software
• Using generic office applications Using social media applications
• Updating existing websites with supplied content Creating simple media content
• Personal Learning & Thinking Skills and Employee Rights & Responsibilities
