JUNIOR ESTATE AGENT LEVEL 2

Who is this Apprenticeship for?
The Junior Estate Agent Level 2 apprenticeship is for the new entrants to the property sector with the skills needed to support a busy estate agent. Learners will develop their knowledge in core areas such as valuing a property, legal compliance requirements, planning, and construction defects. Apprentices will also develop key skills in negotiation, sales, and customer care to deliver a high-quality service experience for clients.
The standard is set at Level 2 which is the equivalent of five GCSE passes and the standard is only available in England.

What will this cost to a Business/Employer?
Non-levy paying employers will need to contribute 5% of the maximum funding band as published by the Skills Funding Agency for the delivery of training and assessment for their apprenticeship. In this instance, the fee is £200.00.

Eligibility:
• Be aged 16 years or older, Have been resident in the UK/EU for at least three years before commencing their apprenticeship
• Be employed in England and have a Contract of Employment
• Not currently enrolled in any other apprenticeship, or another DfE funded FE/HE programme
• Learners/employees should be aged 16 or over to undertake the qualification.

Contents:
The Apprentice will be taught about the sales process of properties; organising and conducting property viewings, marketing properties; and the selling of additional service to buyers. Apprentices will understand the importance of complying with contractual, statutory, and legal restrictions, and client confidentiality.

Additionally, the individual will learn about preparing floor plans of a property, following the measuring code of practice, and assist with the provision of sales particulars. The learner will also develop administrative skills in managing databases, undertaking research on properties, and carrying out tasks to market properties effectively.
Apprentices will be encouraged to develop a wider awareness of the organisation and understand how their role aligns with the company’s values, business plan, and KPIs.

English & Maths
If the Apprentice does not have good grades in their GCSE, they have to pass Functional Skills at Level 1 in English and Maths as a minimum.

How this Qualification is delivered?
This Apprenticeship will primarily be delivered at the employer’s premises that include a 20% off-the-job training requirement.

Professional Body and Progression:
Apprentices who successfully complete this apprenticeship may be eligible to apply for student membership of the following:
NAEA Propertymark (now incorporating the professional bodies formerly known as National Association of Estate Agents, Institute of Commercial, and Business Agents, and National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers).

End Point Assessment
Apprentices access End Point Assessment following a gateway discussion with their employer, and trainer where entry requirements are discussed, checked and recorded including functional skills at the required level. The End Point Assessment will include the following types of assessment:
• Situational Judgement Test.
• Professional Discussion.
• Self-Assessment.
• Collate testimonies from people who use services.
